OPERAKÄLLAREN FOUNDATION

Operakällaren Foundation is a Swedish non-profit organization founded in 2006 with the mission to provide more people around the world with access to clean and safe water. The foundation was established by Abbe Ibrahim, now Founder & CEO, following a life-changing trip to Kenya where he witnessed firsthand how the lack of clean water affects entire communities.

Rooted in the historic restaurant Operakällaren – part of Nobis Hospitality Group – the foundation has since raised over SEK 55 million to support water projects in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions.

Sustainable impact through strong partnerships

Today, Operakällaren Foundation collaborates with the international organization charity: water, developing sustainable water solutions where the need is greatest. The current focus is on Ethiopia, where thousands of people are gaining access to clean water through projects enabled by the foundation’s support.

Thanks to generous sponsors and partners, Operakällaren Foundation ensures that 100 percent of all private donations go directly to water projects, with no administrative deductions.
